INAUGURATION: CULTURE MINISTRY ORGANISES COMMAND PERFORMANCE FOR GOV. ABIODUN

The Ogun State Ministry of Culture and Tourism, on Friday, 26th May organised a Command Performance tagged, ‘Ibùgbé Ire’, one of the activities to mark the inauguration of the second term in office of the State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun and his deputy, Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele

The drama, directed by Jare Adeniregun and Lukman Abiose was held at the June 12 Cultural Centre, Kuto, Abeokuta.
Addressing the audience after the performance, Governor Abiodun expressed that the drama was a beautiful masterpiece which told the stories of the challenges encountered and successes achieved in his first term administration while showcasing the actions of both the pessimists and optimists in the state.
The Governor who noted that the drama truly reflected the strength, weaknesses and steps taken in the last four years, promised that the second term of his administration would be more inclusive and people-oriented.
He stated further that his administration has fulfilled his promises in line with the visions of building our future together agenda, calling on the good people of the State to join hands and support the second term in office of his administration taking the state to the promised land.

Speaking earlier, the immediate past Commissioner in the Ministry of Culture and Tourism Hon. Adijat Adeleye-Oladapo, said during her brief stay in the Ministry, she ensured that opportunities were created to showcase the diverse cultural heritage and tourism potentials of the three senatorial districts through partnering with relevant stakeholders in the industry, while also ensuring local communities benefit from the growth of the industry.

Dignitaries at the event were former Governor of the State, Olusegun Osoba, Royal fathers, great theatre icons, political, members of the executive and legislative arm of the government, top government officials, public servants and political loyalists among others.
